OUR IMPACT
OUR SOLUTION
Through our organizations, teens are learning the values of education, empowerment, and safety. However, these values will not stop at one person. We are creating a system in which students who join our organization are educating other girls, resulting in a sustainable system of strong women. These mentors are recruited and trained throughout the U.S. and internationally. This creates a long-lasting solution for the issue of female safety.
CREATING A COMMUNITY
We are building a community of hardworking, outspoken, and welcoming individuals. We facilitate a sisterhood for students part of our organization. Interested students have people they can depend on and talk to when there are obstacles in their lives. This community is a safe space to open up and ask for advice. Many activities include group discussions on fake scenarios, defense strategies, and situational based training.
OUR RECENT PUBLICATION
Girls from Smyrna, Newark, Wilmington, and Pennsylvania met at the Delaware Dragon Martial Arts Studio to learn from Rebecca Evans, a professional MMA trainer, different self-defense technqiues. They learned wrist escapes, how to get out of a choke-hold, and handle ground attacks. DelawareOnline attended the lesson to conduct an interview on the organization.
